As your Circuit Clerk, I am pleased to welcome you to our website. Boone County is a part of the Fifty Fourth Judicial Circuit for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The Circuit Clerk is an elected Constitutional Officer whose authority and responsibilities are set forth in the Kentucky Constitution and Kentucky Statutes.
The Circuit Clerk’s office is at the center of an enormous variety of activities and works daily with the public and many justice partners throughout the court system. The clerk’s office provides an administrative link between the judiciary and the public to ensure that the courts run smoothly and efficiently.
Our office has many duties and responsibilities that keep the court system running. We are responsible for managing the records of the Circuit and District courts. Circuit court clerks receive lawsuits and courts documents, record legal documents, provide legal documents and other legal materials, are present during trials, schedule juries, receive and disburse money, maintain the jury system, administer oaths, handle affidavits, along with many other duties.
Our office is dedicated to providing efficient and courteous service to the public while ensuring the highest possible standards for accountability, accuracy, and attention to detail in support of our court system.
